Our First Night at Franklin Theatre: A Perfect Evening in Tennessee

As someone who’s always on the go with Tennessee Trendy Cleaning, I don’t get nearly enough opportunities to just sit back and enjoy an evening out. But last week, my husband and I had one of those perfect nights that reminded me why I love living in Franklin so much.

Our friends here in Franklin – you know, the ones we’ve gotten close to over the past couple of years since we made the move down here – invited us out for a special occasion. Their oldest daughter was performing in her school play at the Franklin Theatre, and honestly, I couldn’t have been more excited to finally check out this place everyone’s been raving about.

We decided to make a proper night of it and grabbed dinner beforehand at Puckett’s. It’s this well-known local spot that’s literally right around the corner from the theatre. The convenience factor alone had me sold, but the food was incredible too. There’s something about discovering these local gems that just makes you feel more connected to your community.

After dinner, we took the short walk over to the theatre, and I have to say – my cleaning professional eye was immediately impressed. This place is spotless. They’ve got clean bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs, a proper concession area, friendly hostess and ticket staff – the whole nine yards. You can tell they really care about the experience they’re providing.

What struck me most was how the Franklin Theatre has become such a cornerstone of the community. Sitting there watching these kids perform, seeing families come together, feeling that buzz of excitement in the air – it reminded me why I love what I do. Creating clean, welcoming spaces for people matters, whether it’s someone’s home or a community theatre where memories are made.

The cherry on top? Starbucks is conveniently located right across the street. Perfect for grabbing a coffee before or after a show.

We had such a wonderful time that we’re already planning our next visit. I learned they show movies there too, not just live theatre productions, which opens up so many more date night possibilities. It’s definitely going to become one of our regular spots.

Sometimes it’s the simple evenings like this – good friends, local food, community theatre – that remind you what really matters. Plus, as someone who spends her days making spaces beautiful and functional for others, it was refreshing to just sit back and enjoy a space that someone else has clearly put so much care into maintaining.

Here’s to more nights like this and to all the local businesses that make our communities special!
